This course is intended for members of emergency response as well as other city and county services that become a part of a community response to an bombing incident. This interactive, instructor facilitated program employs case studies, lessons learned, validated medical data, and potential threats to the communities we serve. Sessions will address planning considerations and concerns specific to medical responders, law enforcement, and emergency planners, with an intended outcome of integrating incidents of an explosive nature into existing plans.

This 2-day course provides training on and resources for personnel who has a responsibility to function in a command post managing and expanding incident. Topics include use of an Incident Complex and Area Command, and the interactions between Multi-Agency Coordination (MAC) entities.

The Emergency Management Program Development course provides a comprehensive overview of the statutory requirements and professional duties of today’s emergency manager. Developed and delivered by practitioners in four separate 6 hour sessions, the course is an opportunity for peer to peer learning through lecture as well as task-oriented coaching. Technical and soft skill development in the areas of administration, planning, resource management, training, and exercises are included. Topics covered: Commission Governance, Training, Exercises, Homeland Security, Budgeting and Professional Development

Please either bring your lunch or be prepared to do individual Jimmy Johns online orders using credit card payments. 4) Please download the session materials from the IEMA website prior to the class. https://www.iowaema.us/empd-documents During the budget module work session students will need to bring a wireless capable computer. Students will need to have available your FY24 year end reports from the Auditor’s office, to include the July 1, 2024 beginning balance and the June 30, 2025, ending balance. Newer Coordinator may need to get a DOM website password through your Auditor. Do this now, it may take some time for approval.

This course has been designed to provide an overview of the 911 Program in Iowa for those in positions of leadership within a PSAP. The contents of the training may include: ? A brief history and overview of the 911 system in Iowa ? Review of the laws and rules that govern 911 system regulations ? Review of the different governing bodies within the 911 system ? Review administrative forms and requirements, such as due dates, individual forms, etc. ? Review funding sources such as grants, surcharges, etc. ? Miscellaneous Operational Information Attendees of this course will gain a better understanding of 911 in the State of Iowa.
