G 557 Rapid Needs Assessment
Course Description:
This 1-daycourse provides the ability of local governments to perform a Rapid Needs Assessment accurately and within the first few hours after an incident or emergency is critical in providing a response designed to save lives.

G 2300 Intermediate EOC Functions
Course Description:
This 3-day course will examine the role, design, and function of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and their supportive relationship as a NIMS Command and Coordination component a Multi-Agency Coordination System. Provide training about staffing, organization, information, systems, communications, and equipment needs at the EOC, such activating and deactivating, operations, as well as training and exercising. Focus on the role of an EOC as one of four NIMS Command and Coordination Structures.

Additional Information:
1) If registration doesn't reach 15 students the course may be cancelled. Continue to monitor your emails that come from this office for updates. 2) Please park on the east side of the building. 3) All other travel expenses are on your own. **This multi-day course is supported with Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP) funding. You may request lodging reimbursement if you traveled an excess of 50 miles one way and an Iowa resident. ? Prior to start of class, email your lodging reimbursement request to HSEMDTraining@iowa.gov ? Lodging reimbursement is limited to the first 20 registrants who respond prior to start of class. ? Maximum lodging reimbursement will be State of Iowa rate of $80 + taxes = $89.60/night.
