Course Name:
MGT 346 EOC Operations and Planning For All Hazards
Course Description:
This course focuses on the core functions, processes and best practices necessary to ensure effective and repeatable performances of an emergency operations center at any level. The core functions and processes are reviewed and demonstrated via facilitated discussion and classroom activities. The participants gain practical experience via a series of interrelated activities and exercises supported by a state-of-the-art computer simulation system and are coached by instructors who have extensive emergency operations and management experience.
Course Prerequisites:
None required, however participants should be tasked to work in an EOC. Participants should also possess a working knowledge of ICS.
Recommended courses are FEMA IS-775 EOC Mgmt and Operations and IS-701 National Incident Mgmt System (NIMS) multi-agency coordination system.
Course Target Audience:
Eligible participants include emergency management and response personnel who currently or potentially work in an EOC at the state, local, tribal or DoD installation level. Law enforcement, Emergency medical services, fire services, public safety communications, healthcare, public health, hazardous materials staff, public works, non-profit organizations.
Additional Information:
1) Lunch and travel will be on your own, adequate time for lunch will be provided
