Iowa Children and Youth in Disasters Summit - Day One
Course Description:
The purpose of this summit is to raise awareness of the needs of children in disasters and identify the resources that currently exist in Iowa to meet those needs. It will also provide information from local, state, and federal experts and allow participants opportunity for networking and information sharing. Participants are encouraged to bring business cards, agency information, or any other materials that will provide information regarding their agency's services.

Anyone working with children or youth or anyone responsible for the oversight of programs or institutions that cater specifically to children or youth.
Additional Information:
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, along with the Iowa School Safety Alliance and the Iowa Fire Marshal’s Association will be hosting the 3rd annual Children and Youth in Disasters Summit on October 2-3. The purpose of this summit is to share information and support efforts between stakeholders to ensure the needs of children are integrated into disaster related efforts initiated at the state and local levels.
