ALERRT - Active Shooter Response Level 1
Course Description:
This 2-day course is designed to prepare the first responder to isolate, distract, and neutralize an active shooter. This course will cover shooting and moving, threshold evaluation, concepts and principles of team movement, setting up for and room entry techniques, approach and breaching the crisis site, secondary responder tactics, improvised explosive devices,and post engagement priorities of work. The course will culminate with dynamic force on force scenarios.

Additional Information:
1) Plenty of parking available
2) Use main entrance, watch for signage (unless you have a specific building or room)
3) Travel and meals will be on your own, adequate time will be provided
4) The Governor's School Safety Bureau will be providing head, eye, and throat protection
5) For law enforcement personnel, bring/wear you duty gear, body armor, groin protection, and appropriate clothing for "force-on-force" training.

3. Get on the student website, click on the course you just registered for and complete the pretest once you have been approved to attend.
