Electric Vehicle (EV) Battery Hazardous Materials Response
Course Description:
This course provides emergency responders and hazardous materials personnel with comprehensive training on the identification, assessment, mitigation, and transportation considerations associated with incidents involving electric vehicle (EV) battery systems. With the rapid adoption of electric vehicles, responders must be prepared to address the unique hazards presented by high-voltage lithium-ion battery technology both at the scene and during post-incident movement.

fire service members, hazardous materials teams, emergency medical service providers (EMS), law enforcement, rescue & technical response teams, emergency management, tow and recovery operators
Additional Information:
1) Due to the downtown metropolitan location, parking is available in nearby public spaces on a first-come, first-served basis. 2) Upon arrival, please enter the building through the side door (located on N. 5th St) and proceed upstairs to the training room. 3) Travel and meals are on your own, adequate time will be provided. Registration is required, see below for details.
