ASIM (Active Shooter Incident Management)
Course Description:
This is a three-day comprehensive course providing responders with the experience and confidence to manage an Active Shooter Event, no matter where they are assigned in the ICS structure.
This course is appropriate for all ranks and provides hands-on incident management experience (using 3D multi-responder simulation) to all responders. Students are trained on integrated and effective responses to the full range of Active Shooter and hostile event threats, including Complex Coordinated Attacks (CCAs).
Course Prerequisites:
ICS 100 and ICS 700
Course Target Audience:
Enrollment is limited to command and supervisory
level personnel:
30 Law Enforcement
20 Fire/EMS personnel
5 Emergency Communicators (e.g. dispatchers)
2 Public Information Officers (PIOs)
2 Emergency Managers
Additional Information:
1) Ample parking available
2) Use main entrance, watch for signs to The Ball Room
3) Travel and meals will be in your own, adequate time will be provided
