PER 211 Medical Management Of CBRNE Events
Course Description:
This course is a combination of facilitated discussions, small-group exercises, Human Patient Simulator hands-on scenarios, and traditional classroom discussions. This course promotes critical thinking skills while utilizing the RAPID-Care concept.
- Environmental factors and protective issues for both first responders and the public
- Planning for potential consequences of a CBRNE incident
- Recognizing and identifying CBRNE agents and their physiological effects on the human body
- Recognizing and identifying CBRNE agents and their physiological effects on the human body
- Appropriate self-protection measures and measures necessary to limit patient cross-contamination
- Assessment of adult and pediatric patients
- Basic decontamination considerations
- Appropriate triage methods during a CBRNE or terrorist incident
- Response to an incident involving CBRNE
- RAPID-Care concepts

Additional Information:
1) Enter through the side door marked training room and park on the south side of the building.
2) Feel free to bring drinks and snacks.
3) Meals and travel are on your own; adequate time will be provided for lunch.
4) Registration is required; follow the instructions below.
5) The training room tends to get cold, so dress in layers.
6) Bring government-issued photo ID to check in for the course.
