Salamander Overview and User Training
Course Description:
This training will cover the Comprehensive Resource Management and Credentialing System (CRMCS). This system provides the ability to credential personnel AND equipment and produce the standardized ID card credential. This allows for seamless interoperability across city and county lines. The resource information is housed in the web-based "Salamander LIVE" system.
The afternoon session will educate attendees to the Salamander "TRACK APP" (for smartphones and tablets) which is used for resource accountability. The Salamander "rapidTAG" incident specific badging system will be covered. The ability to gain greater situational awareness and generate incident specific reports will also be discussed. The day will conclude with a small tabletop exercise.
Course Prerequisites:
None
Course Target Audience:
Emergency Management, Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, Public
Works, Public Health, Tribal, City/County Administration or any personnel who will be part of an emergency or disaster response.
Additional Information:
1) Avoid street parking.
2) Use the library parking lot north of the EOC.
3) Parking passes will be available upon check-in at the EOC.
4) Meals will be on your own, adequate time will be provided.
