All-Hazards Communications Technician (COMT)
Course Description:
This course delivers introductory and refresher training for the Communications Technician (COMT) position. It introduces public safety professionals and support staff to various communications concepts and technologies. Also helps participants establish essential core competencies required for performing the duties of the COMT in an all-hazards incident. In addition it addresses responsibilities appropriate to a COMT operating on a local, regional, tribal or state/territory-level All-Hazards Incident Management Team (AHIMT).
Course Prerequisites:
IS100, IS200, IS700, IS800
Course Target Audience:
law enforcement, emergency management, communications, first responders, public safety, military
