Active Attack Integrated Response Course (AAIR)
Course Description:
The AAIR course is designed to improve integration between law enforcement, fire, tele-communicator and EMS in active attack/shooter events. The course provides law nforcement officers with key medical skills based on tactical emergency casualty care guidelines, which can be used at the point of injury to increase survivability of victims. The course also provides a model framework for law enforcement, fire, and EMS to integrate responses during an active attack/shooter event through the rescue task force concept. This course has been designed to improve the safety and survivability of victims of active attack/shooter events and increase the effectiveness, coordination, and resource integration between law enforcement, fire, tele-communications and EMS when responding to these events.
Course Prerequisites:
1) Participants must be state-certified law enforcement, fire, Tele-communicator or EMS providers. 2) EMS providers should be EMT-B certified (preferably EMT-I or EMT-P). 3) Participants should have completed IS-100, IS-300, IS-400 and IS-700.

Go to the ALERRT.org website, then follow the below directions or open the attachment for more detailed instructions, you must also set up dual authentication to access the ALERRT website (directions attached): 1. Create or Login to your user account by clicking on the LOGIN Tab 2. Click on STUDENT WEBSITE > ONLINE REGISTRATION > Enter the course number #22056 for the AAIR class. 3. Get on the student website and click on the course you just registered for and complete the pretest. *You will need your computer and or phone to access the internet to complete course documents during the course. ***Student will have to wait for Instructor to APPROVE their Registration. If the student does not receive an approval, then they CANNOT begin or attend the class. The student can watch the approval process on their DASHBOARD as it goes from Pending to APPROVED by refreshing their screens***
