Training Event Details
Course Name:
Shelby County Gold Line Conference
Course Description:
Join us for one or both of the following 8-hour training classes presented by The Healthy Dispatcher.
"Defusing Communications Center Conflict" on Tuesday, August 29: Difficult conversations and tense moments are the norm in 9-1-1, and negative interactions can quickly go sideways,
posing challenges at both ends of the line. With tools learned in this class, improve call- taking ability and learn ways to effectively navigate interpersonal conflict within the center
(which can be even more harmful than over the phone).
"People Driven Leadership" on Wednesday, August 30, 2023: The strength of a communications center's leadership team defines the culture, daily expectations, and working conditions. When a center's leadership team is not working as a cohesive unit, the challenging work of 9-1-1 can feel even more difficult. This training is designed to increase trust and foster accountability.
