During this training you will learn about:
The role of CERT in communications during an activation, Communications modes and technologies, including different phone and radio types, An overview of basic two-way radios and how to use them, Radio discipline techniques to encourage effective communication, Importance of communications in emergency response, How to use an emergency communications plan, Communications modes used in emergency response, Advantages and limitations of different communications modes, General regulations regarding various radio services, Function of Net Operations in communications, Techniques for effective radio discipline, Tactical call signs and their purpose

None
Course Target Audience:
CERT team members, leadership and those working to start a CERT program or team.

1) Certificates will be issued ONLY to those who pre-register.
2) Registration closes August 4th.
