MGT 335 Event Security Planning for Public Safety Professionals
Course Description:
This course is designed to introduce basic principles and skills associated with planning security for events that range from small events to large-scale, regional events involving personnel from multiple agencies and jurisdictions. Security planning is a critical part of successful event preparation. This course enables participants to recognize and plan adequate strategies and security measures to prevent or mitigate incidents.
Course Prerequisites:
Working knowledge of NIMS & ICS
Review of IS-700.a and IS-100.b
U.S. citizenship
Course Target Audience:
Law Enforcement, emergency management, emergency medical services, fire services, public health, stakeholders who are responsible for security during a planned event.
Additional Information:
1) Parking on East side of the building, use main entrance
2) Please register by August 2, 2023
3) All travel and meals will be on your own, adequate time for lunch will be provided
