MGT 348, PER 233 MEDICAL PREPAREDNESS & RESPONSE FOR BOMBING INCIDENTS
Course Description:
This course is intended for members of emergency response as well as other city and county services that become a part of a community response to an bombing incident. This interactive, instructor facilitated program employs case studies, lessons learned, validated medical data, and potential threats to the communities we serve. Sessions will address planning considerations and concerns specific to medical responders, law enforcement, and emergency planners, with an intended outcome of integrating incidents of an explosive nature into existing plans.
Course Prerequisites:
None. Recommend familiarity with the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the Incident Command System (ICS) via completion of FEMA independent study courses IS-100, IS-200, and IS-700 (or their equivalents).

Additional Information:
**Effective Monday, August 9, 2021. Vaccinated employees will need to follow the masking requirements and unvaccinated individuals will continue to follow masking requirements for that facility. If you feel ill, please stay home.
1) Main entrance to Polk County Emergency Management is located on the east side of the building at 1907 Carpenter.
2) Parking is available to the south (across Carpenter) in the Human Services parking lot.
3) Registration will be done through the TEEX training portal. if registration doesn’t meet the minimum number of students (30) the course may be cancelled.
4) Travel expenses and meals are on you own.
