L 0962 All-Hazards Planning Section Chief
Course Description:
This course provides emergency responders with a robust understanding of the duties, responsibilities, and capabilities of an effective Planning Section Chief on a local or state All-Hazards Incident Management Team (AHIMT). This course focuses on: 1) managing the planning cycle, and 2) tracking resources and incident status. Exercises, simulations, discussions, and a final exam enable participants to process and apply their new knowledge.
Course Prerequisites:
IS100, 200, 700, 800; ICS 300, 400
Course Target Audience:
This course should be completed by personnel who are assigned to Functional, Support or Unit Leader positions on Type 3 or 4 AHIMTs or by those persons who desire to seek credentials/certification in those positions.

Additional Information:
1) Come in the main entrance of the college and go around the roundabout. It's a brick building on north end of campus we sit behind the tennis courts.
1a) Please park in the parking lot to the west of are building and use the southwest entrance of the building.
2) All participants must complete the FEMA screen fillable general application form (FF-USFA-FY-21-101) https://training.fema.gov/apply/
2a) Completed forms are to be emailed HSEMDtraining@iowa.gov
3) All meals are on your own and/or other expenses if not associated to the below statement.
4) This multi-day course is supported with Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP) funding. You may request lodging reimbursement if you traveled an excess of 50 miles one way and an Iowa resident.
?4a) Prior to start of class, email your lodging reimbursement request to HSEMDTraining@iowa.gov
?4b) Lodging reimbursement is limited to the first 20 registrants who respond prior to start of class.
?4c) Maximum lodging reimbursement will be State of Iowa rate of $80 + taxes = $89.60/night.
