G 2300 Intermediate EOC Functions
Course Description:
This 3-day course will examine the role, design, and function of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and their supportive relationship as a NIMS Command and Coordination component a Multi-Agency Coordination System. Provide training about staffing, organization, information, systems, communications, and equipment needs at the EOC, such activating and deactivating, operations, as well as training and exercising. Focus on the role of an EOC as one of four NIMS Command and Coordination Structures.

1) Training will be held on the main floor training room. 2) Please bring a wi-fi enabled device to utilize during the course. 3) Lunch will be on your own, many restaurants are located within a short drive of our facility. 4) This multi-day course is supported with Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP) funding. You may request lodging reimbursement if you traveled an excess of 50 miles one-way and are an Iowa resident. Requests are based upon available funding. BEFORE making lodging reservations and PRIOR to start of class, email your lodging reimbursement request to HSEMDTraining@iowa.gov limited to available funding. 5) All other travel will be on your own if the above doesn't apply or requested.

Traffic Incident Management Systems (TIMS)
Course Description:
This 4-hour, multi-disciplinary training program is directed towards all emergency responders and those supporting Traffic Incident Management (TIM) operations. This training brings together police, firefighters, State and local departments of transportation, towing, medical personnel, and other incident responders, leading to a safer, faster, integrated responder team.

PER 211 Medical Management Of CBRNE Events
Course Description:
This course is a combination of facilitated discussions, small-group exercises, Human Patient Simulator hands-on scenarios, and traditional classroom discussions. This course promotes critical thinking skills while utilizing the RAPID-Care concept. - Environmental factors and protective issues for both first responders and the public - Planning for potential consequences of a CBRNE incident - Recognizing and identifying CBRNE agents and their physiological effects on the human body - Recognizing and identifying CBRNE agents and their physiological effects on the human body - Appropriate self-protection measures and measures necessary to limit patient cross-contamination - Assessment of adult and pediatric patients - Basic decontamination considerations - Appropriate triage methods during a CBRNE or terrorist incident - Response to an incident involving CBRNE - RAPID-Care concepts
