Mass Care Tabletop Exercise
Course Description:
Heartland Dawn, a mass care tabletop exercise, provides a forum for district-wide, local, private and public partners to coordinate emergency preparedness, response and recovery activities/issues during a simulated interactive exercise that helps test the capabilities of each organization’s response plan. This exercise will prompt participants to address issues in their plans and identify address any shortfalls/gaps in plan revisions.

EMA, public health, public works, private sector, energy, NGOs, law enforcement, EMS, communications, hospitals/medical centers, nursing homes, fire departments, school districts
Additional Information:
1. We are located on Kirkwood Community College Campus. Use the main entrance and go around the roundabout. Our building sits behind the tennis court. We are the only brick building on the north end of campus. Parking lot is located west of the building. Use southwest entrance to the building.
2. Catered lunch will be provided.
3. All travel will be at the attendee’s expense.
