MGT 458 Building Whole Community Engagement through Local Emergency Planning Committees (LEPC)
Course Description:
The 1-day Building Whole Community Engagement Course details responsibilities and interests of key stakeholders and collectively preparing for how hazardous material incidents impact them and the community. This course will facilitate collaboration and strengthen the whole community engagement by providing tools, resources and direction through the following core capabilities: Planning, Operational Coordination, Operational Communications, and Community Resiliency. Students will develop goals, performance indicators and plans during practical exercises to assist the LEPC/TEPC with reducing risk from fixed and mobile hazardous materials.

LEPC planning committee's, non-profit, public/private sector, emergency management, local elected officials, HazMat, law enforcement, hospitals, EMS, public health, schools, public works
