G 361 Flood Fight Operations
Course Description:
This course addresses community planning and response options for riverine flooding. While it does not deal with specialized flooding situations such as alluvial fan floods, coastal floods, flash floods, or floods related to ice jams, the same basic planning and response procedures could apply in these unique situations. Effective community planning is critical to successful flood operations. **This course is part of the FEMA Advanced Professional Series (APS)

Course Target Audience:
emergency managers, public works, first responders, local officials, US Army Corp of Engineers, elected officials, and those responsible for planning/preparing/managing the response to a flood
Additional Information:
1) Travel and meals will be on your own, adequate time for lunch will be provided. 2) This multi-day course is supported with Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP) funding. You may request lodging reimbursement if you traveled an excess of 50 miles one-way and are an Iowa resident. Requests are based upon available funding.
